Well I have been requested to post pictures of my house... Let me warn those of you who have never seen my home before.. you might be expecting a very "Valerie" house, ( ya know, pink girly pink) that is not what you'll see. When i was decorating i steered myself away from the more valeriesque to ensure our house would feel like a home to my entire family. So I ended up making it fairly traditional,( I still like it). So, with no further delay... here is a little tour of our home. I don't have a wide angle lense so it is hard to capture a room, but i did my best... you'll get the idea.

This could quite possibly be my favorite room in the entire house... this one screams girl... go ahead and scream it, it's fun, Almost as fun as it was to decorate a little slice girly heaven.

It's so gorgeous, but what else would I expect? I am green with envy over that kitchen!!! By the way, I really do want to visit sometime. Now that I quit work & Lub's out of preschool I should be able to.

I feel like I just took a tour of a home on dream street. It's gorgeous! You've got such great taste- I love it! My favorite is the play room and those red chairs! AWESOME!

So cute Val! I will need your decorating advice as I finally get to decorate my own place. I love Kaylen's room! I didn't get to go as girly with Brooklyn's stuff, but I hope I can make her room as stylish as you did!
Lisa... to do the stripes first paint the lighter color, then, tape the lines and seal them with calking and then paint the other color over the top...my br in law did it for me...what a gem huh!
Michelle- I think you should come visit me in July, For Kaylens birthday..so you can help me make an amazing cake!
for those of you looking for tips...um...
start with furniture that you LOVE, then comes choosing your fabrics,(I generally end up with 3 coordinating fabrics per room),after that comes paint, And last its time for the fun part...the accents. If I fallow that order I usually love the room. I know some great shops in Ca, and a couple online gold mines where you can get stuff cheap... if your interested email me.
Your house is GORGEOUS! You are amazing. I would LOVE some tips on great places to find stuff!!! And tell Kaylen that if one day, she finds me just hanging out in her room and playing Barbies to not be creeped out :)
