Ok folks i stumbled upon this little bank,
Then i began to wonder is it true? So lets start a little poll, does the money go straight through your hubby's account and on to yours? How does your household bank work?
In the page bank... not the case. Jeremy has always had the control over our finances... and its a good thing to, or I would have everything on my Christmas wish list, (bellow)... and NO house to put it all in.
We actually just worked out a budget ... so we should end up spending exact the same amount of fun Money...i'll let you know how it works. my fingers are crossed!

ahahaha true.
i'm over our finances. but only cuz if i wasn't...the bills wouldn't get paid. plus, the hubby doesn't know how to check our bank account online. so he put me in charge.
the hubby buys books and food.
i buy house stuff, books, shoes, clothes and gifts.
so yyyyyeah. true. so funny though.
Steve makes the money and I have the control over the finances. He is aware of the budget and what money we have for our different funds, but he has no desire to be in control (which is great, because I love to micromanage!!)
As far as our discretionary/ fun money, we actually each get the same amount.
I was the bread winner so I took care of the finances. The was a point when the hubby thought I was doing a poor job and wasn't saving enough. So he took over for a period of time. Lets just say the bills didn't get payed and we were a few thousand dollars behind. Yeah so I took over. Now he is the bread winner we have a budget that we try to stick to and I still take care of the finances. As for fun money, we really don't have any for either us. Money is just to tight.
We have a shared account, so what's his is mine, and vice versa. I handle all the money...Ted never knows whats going on, haha. It's only because Ted has never paid a bill in his life, so he trusts me keep our finances in control.
I buy whatever I want...and he does too, but only if it is inexpensive. If it is a big purchase, we call each other and talk it over.

We have a share account! We both pay the bills some are on-line that Richie watches and if any come in the mail I am in charge. It works great for us! Fun money what is that??? J/K
You know our setup: Kevin tosses a check to me every week & says "Here..it's yours anyways". LOL. He was in charge, but I got upset not knowing what our status was, so he put everything back into excel so I can manage it too. He pays bills (they still go to his email) and I rec the bank stmts, enter recipts, etc. I like knowing where we're at....it's incentive not to spend on things we don't need (aka fun money).
Oh man, if Aaron was left in charge of paying our bills, they'd all be late and we'd never have any power or water. So ya, Aaron makes the money (though I do my little part and teach piano lessons too) and I have all the control over finances. He knows where we stand cause I tell him and he knows how to get into all our accounts online, but I'm the one who has all the control. I like it that way ;)
okay firsty, you are making my life complete with the miley song list. ohmygosh i love her. I think i love miley stewart a little more then her...but anyways. I can't wait for the rest of hannah montana season 3 to come out!
okay anyways...i handle the finances in our house! crazy! we work together though, but i do the bills and makes sure everything is good to go and he is bringing home the bacon. lol.
Well, we pay the bills and then take what is left and split it 60/40. I get the 60 of course since I do most of the buying in the house. We have separate accounts because it keeps the peace!
TRUE that I have more money than him but he doesn't want it! He doesn't have a wish list and is totally fine with not spending. So I am happy to use my spending money and his!
