yes we all wore matching shirts, saying i heart sparkly vampires. They were super easy to make, and i have to say i am pretty proud of how they turned out.

we went to dinner first and the excitement for the upcoming film was almost tangible....
after dinner we headed to the theatre...

it was a madhouse in there! the line to get seats was out the door...apparently everyone was worried they wouldn't get tickets so they prebought them,( just like us). So our group was split into 3 groups even though we got to the theatre early to find seating together.... oh well.
and the movie...
I HATED it! I was so disappointed! It was so much better in my imagination! I didn't think Bella and Edward had any chemistry on camera; and they didn't do enough character development. And i thought the special effects were super cheesy. it was hard for me to sit through...I guess i should have expected a much...movies are never as good as the books. guess i will just read it over and over again.
So afterwards we went to bjs and got a giant pizzookie to ease our disappointment... actually i think everyone else liked it... sorry for being such a bum girls. This us giving Vampire,(crazy Jasper eyes).

so funny Sasha initiated a game of charades at our table and she mimicked the characters...i seriously was going to pea my pants...no i mean seriously!!! sash you crack me up!!!
although the movie was a total bust the night was a total hit...Good company can get you through anything;-)

That is so fun...you are so cute to throw that and do goody bags!!! I have heard good things about the movie...but only by people that went in with seriously LOW expectations. So I think I'll stick to that. I'm sorry it dissapointed!
Hey Val!!! How the heck are you!!?? First off, you look great, as always and your kids are adorable! So glad that you posted a comment! Now I can follow your blog! Thanks!!
And you didn't like Twilight?? I hear that a lot. There are those who love it (like me), those who are on the fence and those who hated it! I see it like this.....Everyone has their own take on it because everyone views the book in a different light. Once the movie comes around and it's not what they had "seen" on their heads, they are dissapointed. Oh well. To each their own! Oh and I so want one of those goodie bags! Your awesome!!! Good to hear from you!
I saw the movie first and then read the books, I think it worked out better, I LOVED the movie more than anyone I went with that DID read the books first. I am in love with Edward, too bad nothing like him really exists, I will have to settle for the wonderful man I already found, he just can't run super fast, read minds, and he has to sleep. OH well.
Val, I just love your Twilight bags and am super impressed with your creativity! Love it! I'm sorry the movie was a dissapointment, but it looks like you have a fun group of girlfriends, and for that I'm glad!
I loved the movie! lol...Maybe cause I wasn't expecting much? I dunno, but the group of gals I went with all liked it! The other half of the die hards in my ward hated it. I wonder if that's why? I wasn't expecting to like it much, in fact I didn't like who they cast as Edward at first, but he grew on me!
It's nice to "see" you on your blog, and thanks so much for popping over to mine! Your kids are growing so much and as beautiful as you are!
WHAT??????????????? YOU HAD GOODIE BAGS? NO WAY!!! I WANT ONE! :) Just kidding... I'm still trying to make a list of who should be what characters...we'll have to compare in January. I can't believe how bad the movie SUCKED! Hopefully they'll shape up for the next one... i found out... it debued 70.6 million for the first weekend... I wonder how the rest will pan out! :) Anyway, Miss You!!! :)
The bags and shirts are darling!!! You are so talentED... TOO CUTE!
You are the most creative person I know! I actually blew up the picture to see what kind of fun things you put inside! Way to go on making a fun night even better. And I totally hear ya on the movie thing - bleh. But books are always better I guess. And your pose in the last shot - classic!
I love your shirts, Valerie! I totally agree with Marcy's comment about the movie! Hey- could you email me your current address at mandmkolb@hotmail.com? Thanks!
Even though the movie left some to be wanted... (or a lot), that night was so much fun! You are so adorable thank you for the great shirt and yummy candy but most of all i thank you for the movie commentary - you my dear are hillarious.
